What Councils are proactive and give away trees?

  1. Schools in the Hawkesbury Local Government area can receive 4 free native plants of their choice every year from the Hawkesbury Community Nursery.

2. Brisbane residential ratepayers, residential tenants, public housing and Defence Housing residents can claim two free native plants each financial year (July to June).

4. Two plants can be collected every 6 months with a current Sunshine Coast Council rates notice

5. Residents can collect 3 free trees* per household. If you will be collecting trees for more than one property, you will need to provide a current rates notice for each property.

6. Property owners in Logan can take advantage of our Free Trees program. We provide a wide range of native and non-native trees at our collection sites for you to plant in your garden. Residents who present a current rates notice at the collection locations will have their notice scanned. After this they are given a token and are free to pick 3 plants from the selection available

7. As a Redland City Council resident you can pop by and grab five free koala food trees for your backyard or property and help provide habitat for our well-loved fluffy marsupials. Learn more about our local koalas.
